Junior Gardeners Program meets monthly. Youth aged 8-18 are encouraged to join in the fun of floral arranging, gardening practices, and making holiday crafts using natural plant materials. Interested youth can email Laura at l.spaziani@comcast.net

Plant A Row is a program that encourages club members and members of the community to grow and share their garden produce, herbs and flowers with the Hingham Food Pantry. In 2021 the Garden Club created a new program where our members signed up to “plant a row” in their gardens to donate to the food pantry. The program was a great success and we donated many pounds of fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers to the Hingham Food Pantry. In 2022 we expanded the program, inviting members of the community to plant an extra row in their gardens for the food pantry. People who frequent the food pantry have gratefully welcomed the addition of fresh produce and flowers in their homes!

Arbor Day For 34 years, Hingham has been a Tree City, USA and for 61 years the Garden Club of Hingham has donated a tree for Arbor Day. Historically, Arbor Day is a day that has been set aside to plant trees and to recognize the importance of trees in the environment. Each year our members enjoy celebrating Arbor Day with the town and sharing camaraderie with club members as we roll up our sleeves to plant another tree!

Library Flowers The members of the Garen Club enjoy providing a weekly flower arrangement to greet visitors and staff alike at the main desk of the Hingham Public Library.
