Rain or Shine

We regret to inform you that The Centennial Garden Tour is sold out and we will no longer be able to offer tickets for purchase in cash on the day of the tour. We apologize for this but due to overwhelming demand and capacity constraints at the properties we are unable to make additional tickets available.

The Hingham Historical Society properties will be the tour headquarters. Your ticket is the tour booklet which you may pick up at The Benjamin Lincoln House, 181 North Street, Hingham. Check-in for ticket pick up will be on tour day beginning at 9:30 A.M. The Centennial Garden Tour hours are from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. We are pleased to provide refreshments and restrooms during the tour at the Old Ordinary Annex, 21 Lincoln Street, Hingham.

The Centennial Garden Tour will celebrate the town of Hingham over the past one hundred years by showcasing nine beautiful private gardens and the civic garden at Old Ordinary. The gardens are located on properties in different sections of town known as Bradley Woods, Crowe Point, Historic Downtown, Hingham Centre, South Hingham, and World’s End. Each beautiful garden will reveal a different story about Hingham’s history.

Our tour is self-guided allowing you to explore the beautiful neighborhood gardens in whichever order you choose. The owners, addresses, and property history are included with each garden description in your tour booklet. Look for our tour signs at the entrance to each property and head to the table draped in pink for ticket check-in. The Hingham Police have advised us on parking so please observe our directions for each property listed in your tour booklet.

We regret to inform you that the garden tour is not fully accessible for individuals with mobility impairments. Due to the natural terrain and layout of the gardens, there are areas with uneven paths, steps, and narrow passages that may pose challenges. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The Garden Club of Hingham extends our sincerest thanks to the homeowners for their generosity in opening their gardens, inviting us in, and sharing their passion for gardening.

We are most grateful and thank our local businesses for their generous support in making this tour possible.
